Therapeutic Treehouse Retreat | Bendru Theertha, Karnataka

‘Hydro Serenity’ is a biophilic treehouse retreat designed to immerse visitors in the natural healing environment of Bendru Theertha, Karnataka’s only natural hot spring. Inspired by flowing rivers, marine forms, and sand dunes, the project embraces organic curves and natural materials to promote relaxation, comfort, and connection to nature.

The retreat is designed for two guests, with the ground floor serving as a shared living zone including a kitchen, dining area, library, and restroom. The upper floor houses a bedroom, a flexible art/game room, and open-air seating under a canopy of trees.

The design integrates sustainable bamboo structure, a water slide, and outdoor gathering zones, creating a playful yet serene environment. This retreat is envisioned not only as a tourist accommodation but also as a nature-based therapy destination, leveraging the curative properties of the hot spring to foster wellness, reflection, and ecological appreciation.
