BRICKYARD HOUSE

Brickyard House is an expressive architectural response to climate, context, and material honesty. Designed with a grounded sensitivity, the residence showcases exposed brick masonry as the primary facade element celebrating its tactile warmth and timeless character.

Anchored by a robust concrete frame, the design emphasizes volumetric play through layered balconies, recessed openings, and perforated brick jaali screens that allow diffused light and natural ventilation throughout the home. The rhythmic composition of solids and voids lends the facade a sculptural clarity while ensuring privacy in an urban setting.

The circular window at the attic level punctuates the elevation with a bold gesture, framing curated views and adding an element of visual surprise. Sloped tiled roofs blend vernacular cues with contemporary expression, enhancing thermal comfort and contributing to the project’s passive design approach.

With an emphasis on sustainable materials, low-maintenance finishes, and biophilic gestures like cascading planters, Brickyard House is a modern Indian home that balances architectural boldness with environmental mindfulness.
